Wash Day
We recommend washing hair every 10-14 days.
Step 1 - Apply water, using a spray bottle and a prepoo to remove protective style pinnaclestorel1://#!section=70389968
Step 2 - Detangle hair gently with fingers or detangling brush.
Optional-Hair oil/ leave in conditioner can also be combined with prepoo to ease detangling process.
Step 3- Twist detangled hair into sections.
Step 4- Leave prepoo on hair for 15 minutes.
Step 5- Run hair under lukewarm water for 5-8 minutes. (Time ideal for those with extremely dry hair)Ensure hair is very very saturated in water.
Step 5 - Apply shampoo to scalp and scrub. Keep hair twisted. pinnaclestorel1://#!section=69551289
Step 6- Undo sections and apply evenly conditioner/deep conditioner throughout hair before redoing sections. Leave on for recommended amount time and cover hair with a plactic cap.pinnaclestorel1://#!section=69551343
Step 7 -Rinse out very well the conditoner/deep conditioner.
Step 8- Dry hair.
Optional- Instead ofa cotton towel, dry with a T-shirt or microfiber towel.
Step 9-Undo and moisturise each section.Moisturise hair using the LCO (liquid, cream, oil,)/ LOC (liquid, oil, cream)/LCG (Liquid, cream, grease) method.
Step 10- Style hair as desired (Cornrows, twists etc)
-Liquid, a water based spray of your choice.
- Oil, hair oil of your choice.
-Cream, a leave in conditioner
-Grease, a heavy butter of your choice. (i.e blue magic, dax etc)
If your hair is too short to be braided/twisted into sections then still follow these steps removing the braiding/twisting elements.
We highly recommend shampooing and condtioning hair in twists for those with extremely brittle hair that is prone to breakage.
Blow Drying Hair?
Step 1- Previous Step 1 to Step 8
Step 2- On slightly damp hair add some leave in conditioner and heat protectant pinnaclestorel1://#!section=70516883
Step 3- Blow Dry Hair in sections
Step 4- Previous Step 9 &10.
Mid-Week Care
Mid Week Care should occur every 2-3 days leading up to wash day.
Step 1- Moisturise Hair using the LCO/LOC/LCG method.
Step 2-Make sure to oil scalp. Done.
